Nestled in the heart of South Dakota, the Pierre Seventh-day Adventist Church stands as a beacon of faith and community. As an integral part of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church, we passionately share the message that Jesus Christ is returning soon, with an enduring commitment to improving the quality of life for all. Our steadfast belief in the divine Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, illuminates our path. Jesus, through His time on Earth, crucifixion, and subsequent resurrection, gifted us with the promise of salvation. In these times, the Holy Spirit guides us, offering comfort and counsel, as we eagerly anticipate Jesus' promised return.
Our Mission
Our church's mission is to invite everyone to become disciples of Jesus Christ. We aim to spread the everlasting gospel symbolized by the three angels’ messages found in Revelation 14:6-12 and to prepare hearts and minds for Christ’s impending return. Central to our faith is the Bible, our guiding light for beliefs and actions. The seventh-day Sabbath, celebrated on Saturday, offers us a moment to rest, worship, and reflect on God's love. Embracing a holistic perspective, we also encourage a health-conscious lifestyle, advocating for balanced diets, regular exercise, and steering clear from harmful habits.
Our Plans
Under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Stephen Eastwood, our church has become engaged in diverse initiatives that resonate with our members and the wider Pierre community. With a keen sense of service, we regularly volunteer with Feeding South Dakota, continuously exploring broader avenues to make a positive impact. Our presence extends to the digital sphere with weekly sermon live streams on Facebook and YouTube. Additionally, Pastor Eastwood's inspiring 'Midweek Blessing' and 'Prairie Prayer' series offer solace and insights to online followers. Rooted in traditional values, we further mark our involvement in local events, from delighting spectators with our July 4th parade float to brightening the capital with our festive Christmas tree.
